How do I search for action research articles and books?

FIND ARTICLES USING DATABASES:

SEE THE LINKS BELOW FOR ERIC, EDUCATION FULLTEXT, PsycINFO, LINGUISTICS & LANGUAGE BEHAVIOR ABSTRACTS DATABASES

ERIC database search examples:

  • (action research) and reading instruction and grade
  • (action research) and motivation and learning and grade
  • (action research) and mathematics and grade
  • (research method?) and mathematics and grade
  • fluency and (reading comprehension) and (action research) and grade
  • ((school climate) or (school culture)) and (action research) and grade

Education Full Text database search examples:

  • Search for (action research) in keyword and then combine that with another term, for example, mathematics, or writing.

FIND E-BOOKS

  • Start at https://library.sdsu.edu/
  • In the large Search All box, click on the word Books.
  • Set the dropdown menu to Subject. Type action research into the text box next to it.
  • Below the text box locate the words eBooks only and check the box next to it. This will limit your search to ebooks.
  • Click on Search.
  • On the screen that comes up you can continue to refine your search by typing in a word or phrase into the next text box, for example, language arts.
