  • Dictionary of American Literary Characters [ PS374.C43 D5 1990 Reference ] Briefly identifies the major characters in significant pre-1980 American novels.  Primary arrangement is alphabetical by character name, but an author/title index is also included.
  • Major Characters in American Fiction [ PS374.C43 M35 1994 Reference ] Provides detailed, descriptive "biographies" of many characters from American fictional works.  Arranged alphabetically by the names of the characters.
