SDSU Databases
Children's Literature Comprehensive Database: Use either quick or advanced search option. Enter the terms "Spanish Materials" in the search box. In the advanced search, enter the terms and select the grade levels (K-3) and Spanish located in the language category. You may also limit your search by selecting other categories such as readers age, genre, author, publication date, etc.
In the library catalog, click on the books tab. Type in a word search for "Spanish language materials" or "Spanish language materials bilingual". You may also search by subject, i.e. fairy tales, horses.
ProQuest Research Library: Use advanced search option. Enter terms in search box. Select books from the source type category and Spanish from the language category.
Search the Library catalog, plus about half our databases to find books, journals and more. EbscoHost databases are not included in the OneSearch index, and will have to be searched separately.
International Children's Digital Library (ICDL): Click Read Books to search. Use the advanced option to limit your search by age audience, appearance, content, type or subject. Search for K-3 books in Spanish by entering the subject or title, choose age in the audience category-click six to nine, select format-choose chapter books, picture books, etc.
United States Board on Books for Young People: Search using the custom search box located at the top of the home page or review. You may also find books by reviewing the Awards and Lists link located on the side menu. For bilingual books review the international books list.
Notable Books for a Global Society: Click the NGBS link located on the top menu. Click the past and present link to review the NGBS award/booklist.
San Diego County Library: Choose the Books, Movies, Music drop down menu located on the web page top menu. Select Kids Corner. Choose Read on the top menu. Enter Children's Bilingual Books in the Library Catalog search box. Once you receive your results, refine by clicking on Espanol in the category located on the left-side of the page under "Refine by".
