The library has recently launched a Social Justice Collection of books and eBooks that can be searched or browsed in the catalog using the heading in this link. The Business Librarian is working to add titles to the collection that pertain to racial equity or social justice in business and the workplace.

According to the preface, "This year, McKinsey will bring together public-, private-, and social-sector leaders in the second annual Black Economic Forum in partnership with the Executive Leadership Council and Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity (Beta Iota Boulé). The focus will be on creating initiatives that can be piloted and scaled nationwide to narrow the racial wealth gap." This is the first report from that series.
This article was published in the Harvard Business Review, and it was written by Laura Morgan Roberts, a professor of practice at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business and the coeditor of Race, Work and Leadership: New Perspectives on the Black Experience, and Ella F. Washington, a professor of practice at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and the founder of Ellavate Solutions, which provides executive coaching and diversity and inclusion strategy and training for organizations.
This report was published by Ani Turner from Altarum in 2018 with funding from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. According to the author, "The purpose of this report is to highlight the business case for racial equity — stressing the importance of racial equity as both an imperative for social justice and a strategy for economic growth."
