To search within only the IV Press, click on the link toward the top of the screen that says "A-Z Source list". Then type "Imperial Valley Press" into the search box. You'll get a result for that paper that says the date range of items in the database. Clicking on the paper's title will take you to a landing page for the paper where you can search within it.

The Library of Congress' Chronicling America site makes digital scans of historical newspapers freely available online. This link is to the 69 newspapers for the state of California. The list included The Imperial Valley Press in its various iterations:
