How to find K-12 Textbooks

Materials in the LT call number section of the library include K-12 textbook examples on many subjects. But these textbooks can be tricky to find in the catalog. So, here is a hint for searching the catalog for K-12 textbooks.

  1. Enter Library website, click on the OneSearch tab box, click into advanced search, (red and black box below search box).
  2. Use the drop down menu and select Call Number. Type in LT. (This is the Library of Congress call number classification for textbooks.)
  3. Go to the next empty search box below this one. Leave the search operator set to AND.
  4. Use the drop down menu for this box to search by subject, author, or title of the textbook you want to find. Then type in the subject, author, or title.
