The following web resources will help you to better understand best practices for data management throughout the research lifecycle.

• DataONE - Promotes best practices in data management through responsive educational resources and materials. CLick on MORE under "Learn" to access their educational materials
• MANTRA - MANTRA is a free, online non-assessed course with guidelines to help you understand and reflect on how to manage the digital data you collect throughout your research.
• GRAD 521:Research Data Management - Developed by a librarian at Oregon State University, this libguide takes you through a 2-credit course designed for graduate students to learn RDM best practices.
• UK Data Archives - Curates the UK’s largest collection of digital social and economic research data. Click on Create & Manage Data to learn about  data management
• Digital Curation Centre - A UK-based centre to support expertise and practice in data curation and digital preservation across communities of practice. Click on Resources to find How-To Guides & Checklists, Case Studies and Standards.

• DataQ - A collaborative platform for answering research data questions in academic libraries
• Data Carpentry - Data Carpentry develops and teaches workshops on the fundamental data skills needed to conduct research. Our mission is to provide researchers high-quality, domain-specific training covering the full lifecycle of data-driven research. Data Carpentry is a sibling organization of Software Carpentry.
• Data Information Literacy (DIL) Case Studies Directory - A repository of teaching cases and material on research data management. DIL case studies are available for re-use under a CC-BY license and information on how to cite a case study is provided.
