Tools and services to help you manage your research data

Repository Directories

The following resources are searchable registries of repositories.

Multidisciplinary Repositories

The following repositories are not discipline-specific. They allow researchers to deposit any research data, or data of various formats, to preserve and share.

Open Context A free, open access resource for the electronic publication of primary field research from archaeology and related disciplines.

Dryad An international repository of data underlying peer-reviewed articles in the basic and applied biosciences. See their data submission page for instructions.

Zenodo A simple and innovative service that enables researchers, scientists, EU projects and institutions to share, preserve and showcase multidisciplinary research results (data and publications) that are not part of the existing institutional or subject-based repositories of the research communities.

FigShare Allows users to upload any file format to be previewed in the browser so that any research output, from posters and presentations to datasets and code, can be disseminated in a way that the current scholarly publishing model does not allow

Dataverse An open source web application to share, preserve, cite, explore and analyze research data. It facilitates making data available to others, and allows you to replicate others' work.
