Background Questions

Books and reputable health web sites are good places to look for general information about diseases, therapies, diagnosis, and other health topics. Books available in print and online from the library have been chosen because they are good quality and come from established health science publishers. Consumer health websites are helpful but they need to be evaluated to make sure they are providing accurate, unbiased information (See Evaluating Sources tab)

Both CINAHL and Nursing Reference Center have evidence based practice guidelines, care plans, and pamphlets that can also provide you with background information on most topics.
