Student Disability Services

Student Disability Services (SDS) is dedicated to empowering students with disabilities by ensuring they have access to appropriate support and services that minimize academic and physical barriers.

Counseling & Psychological Services

C&PS offers a wide range of services to help students obtain support for a variety of presenting concerns. These include individual counseling, couples counseling, group therapy, workshops, specialized programs, and appointments with Baxter, C&PS’ therapy dog.

Disability Employee Resource Group

The Disability Employee Resource Group is an organization focused equity and inclusion for SDSU staff and faculty. 

History of Disability Pride Month

Disability Pride Month was first celebrated in Boston in 1990 following the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) (National Council on Independent Living, 2017). Disability Pride Month celebrates disabled people and fights against ableism (Langtree, 2015).
