Welcome to Library Research

This guide will help you with your research for LDT 690, Methods of Inquiry.  It provides tips and techniques to help you be an efficient and effective researcher. Use the options on the left of the page to navigate to different sections.

Accessing Library Materials Off Campus

You can use the OneSearch box on the library homepage to search and see results from the library's catalog and many of the library databases without logging in, but you will need to log in to access the resource.

Get in the habit of logging into your library account when you go to the library. Not only will this help with access but it will allow you to save search results, see what items you have checked out, and request items through CSU+.

When library resources are accessed from off-campus, the EZproxy server will automatically generate a webpage that asks users to log in with their SDSUid and password.  Once that information is submitted, the user will be able to access the library resource.

If you do not see a login page when you click on a library resource from off-campus, then it is possible the URL does not contain the required EZproxy information.  Correct URLs should contain the string "libproxy.sdsu.edu."  Please contact the research desk for assistance.
