Este texto compila una serie de artculos sobre diversos temas de inters binacional en el cual participan expertos de ambos lados de la frontera para dar una visin global sobre esta regin compuesta por dos valles, divididos por un ro, donde los estados de California y Baja California se unen. Una regin inhspita en apariencia, pero prspera en la realidad. En esta investigacin se desglosan temas como historia, economa, agricultura, crecimiento industrial, educacin, arte pblico, migracin, medio ambiente, agua y energa. / This book is a compilation of a series of articles on different topics of binational interest in which experts of both sides of the border have participated in order to provide a global vision about this area. The region, composed by two valleys, is divided by a river where the states of California and Baja California are united. Apparently hostile, in reality a rich area. This research deals with four topics of major importance in the region: agriculture, industrial growth, migration, and environment.
