- EarthChem Access to geochemical and geochronological data, including major and trace element concentrations and radiogenic and stable isotope ratios for geologic materials. See information on submitting data.
- EarthStat Hosts global agricultural data for 175 crops, globally, among other data sets. This is the product of a collaboration between the U of MN's Institute on the Environment and McGill University.
- Ecological Archives Publishes materials supplemental to articles that appear in Ecological Society of America journals, as well as peer-reviewed data papers with abstracts published in the printed journals. See information on submitting data.
- Knowledge Network for Biocomplexity (KNB) A network facilitating ecological and environmental research on biocomplexity. Data sharing is via their Morpho Data Management Software. A DataONE member node.
- Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology (IRIS) A university consortium sponsored by the NSF that is dedicated to the operation of scientific facilities for the acquisition, management, and distribution of freely available seismic data. See information on submitting data.
- ISRIC World Soil Information Information about the world's soils gathered with the aim of resolving major global issues. See information on submitting data.
- Maize Genetics and Genomics Database
- Marine Geoscience Data System Data collected throughout the global oceans, and accepts sensor-based marine geoscience data for submission. See information on contributing data.
- National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis (NCEAS) Information about research data sets collected as part of NCEAS' funded activities. Data sharing is via their Morpho Data Management Software.
- National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) Resource that preserves, monitors, assesses, and provides public access to the United States' climate and historical weather data and information. See information about submitting data.
- National Oceanographic Data Center (NODC) National and international marine environmental and ecosystem data and information. See information on submitting data.
- National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC) Scientific data sets from satellites and field observations focusing on the cryosphere and its interactions. See information on submitting data.
- Network for Earthquake Engineering Simulation (NEES) Project Warehouse A centralized data repository for sharing and publishing earthquake engineering research data from experimental and numerical studies.
- PetDB A geochemical data collection of ocean floor igneous and metamorphic rocks. See information on contributing data.

- USDA Economic Research Service Data Sets - wide range of data from food safety to farm economy.
- VegBank The vegetation plot database of the Ecological Society of America's Panel on Vegetation Classification, including plot records, recognized vegetation types, and plant taxa. See information on submitting data.

- ArcGIS Online A cloud-based collaborative content management system for maps, apps, data, and other geographic information.

- National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) - NOAA data sets by discipline
- National Wetlands Inventory The National Fish & Wildlife Service's resource of geospatially referenced information on the status, extent, characteristics, and functions of wetland, riparian, deepwater, and related aquatic habitats in priority areas. See information on submitting data.
- OpenTopography A portal to high-resolution Earth science-related, research-grade, topography and bathymetry data. See information on data hosting.
